My name is Silis Del Manso — and this brand is my most personal creation.

I was born in M'Buke Island (affectionately known as Sugarloaf), a small village in Papua New Guinea, and grew up in Darwin, in Australia's magnificent Top End. Two worlds shaped me: the rich, ancient traditions of PNG and the vast, clean, sun-drenched beauty of tropical Australia. Both taught me the same thing — that nature provides everything we need, if we're willing to listen.

I've always been deeply connected to the natural world. The ocean calms me. The Australian landscape energises me. Clean air, open skies, and the quiet power of the earth — these aren't just things I love. They're the foundation of everything I make.

The Moment Everything Changed

For most of my life, my skin was a source of frustration, not joy.

I have extremely sensitive skin. Product after product — moisturisers, washes, creams — left me with rashes, irritation, and discomfort. The ingredient lists read like chemistry experiments. The fragrances triggered migraines. I couldn't find a single brand that felt safe, gentle, and truly natural.

So I stopped looking for one. And I started creating my own.

Then my granddaughter was born — with the same sensitive skin as mine. And suddenly, this wasn't just about me anymore. It was about protecting her. About making sure the products touching her soft, precious skin were as pure and gentle as the love behind them.

That's when Silis by Silis became something bigger than a personal project. It became a mission.
